A large group of hockey fans flocked to Edmonton to watch the Edmonton Oilers play the Calgary Flames on Friday night.
About 500 fans were expected to watch Oilers star Patrick Maroon and Flames star Erik Karlsson compete for the Calder Trophy.
In Calgary, more than 5,000 people gathered in the Saddledome to watch Flames coach Bob Hartley and Oilers captain Zach Parise face off.
There were more than 100 people in attendance in Winnipeg and more than 4,000 in Calgary.
The crowd for the Edmonton game was estimated to be about 1,500.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are set to start Tuesday in the United States.
