Photographer Marko Dacic captured images of the crash of the United Airlines jetliner that hit the city on March 20, 2017.
Daci was on his way to take pictures of the airport during a flight when the plane went down near the Schuylkill River, according to his website.
The photographer says he was “in the dark for several hours” when the flight was canceled.
Dic was able to capture images of a portion of the plane’s fuselage, which showed a small section that had not been fully collapsed, and a portion that had been partially collapsed.
Dapic said that the plane was traveling between Philadelphia International Airport and the Philadelphia airport’s Westside Airport when it crashed.
“My photos show the whole crash scene, including the debris that had fallen off the fuselage,” Dacío said.
Aerial photographer Marko “Marko” Dacicc photographed a section of the fuicle that had yet to be fully collapsed.
Dacic told NBC10 he has worked on numerous aviation projects and has been working with the Philadelphia Aviation Authority for the past 20 years.
“I’ve photographed over 100 crashes, so this is by far the largest I’ve ever photographed,” he said.
“It’s one of the most beautiful crashes I’ve photographed.”
DACIC’S COURAGE TO MAKE PHILADELPHIA A PHOTOGRAPHY MUSEUM PHILADS EXPERIENCE “Marko is a very humble man, and this was his first real experience of flying in an airplane,” said Philadelphia Aviation Director of Operations Mark Stebbins.
“I’ve flown a plane before but not with Mark, so I’m sure that’s a huge accomplishment for him.”
The Philadelphia Aviation Museum, located at 215 S. Main St., will be open for the first time on March 28.
The museum is the largest of its kind in the country.
It will also host a gallery showing some of the best images from the Philadelphia area, including photos taken during the Philadelphia Air and Space Show in 2017.
The museum is also hosting a show of new work by some of Dacican’s images.
The exhibition is entitled “The Flight of a Photographic Icon: The Flight of the Photographer.”
Dacicc has also created two new photos, one of a man who works in the Philadelphia City Council, and another of a woman who works for the mayor’s office.
The woman is dressed in a white shirt, khaki pants and black heels.
Dacica says he had a “huge feeling” the photos would be published.
“It’s been a long journey to get here, but I’ve been able to see the city through my eyes,” he told NBC 10.
